This is another piece that caught my eye in that 2ndhand shop I stopped at while visiting eastern TN recently. A closer look at it revealed that there's probably nothing "vintage" about it, in fact I found CHICO'S jewelry quickly when I got back to a computer -- if not this exact piece, lots of similar-ish designs using all varieties of often not symmetrical chains and beads and things. STILL -- it is fun, and maybe even worth the $3 I paid for it even though it wholly isn't any kind of thing I could ever *wear*...??? <lolol>
It is nearly all brass/brasstone chains and beads. Sections of chain are different styles and sizes, some with decorated links. The beads are mostly glass, with a few of brass, wood, or (maybe) stone, strung on jewelry wire. The double leaf motif is brasstone with little rhinestones on its face. The whole thing hangs about 10-1/2" long (doubled) and has a nice large brass hook closure. Oval tag by that and the backside of the leaves both give the CHICO'S brand name.
Now what am I gonna do with it...?? <groan>
That style of assembling jewelry from unrelated, non-matching bits is popular (or has been popular….I’m not really ‘on top’ of fashion trends) but I DO like your necklace. :-)
