    Well, at least that's what I think this is, or was? It is an extremely delicate little gold colored (maybe real?) chain now in two pieces, with a silver colored hook loop at one end and a patterned gold colored 'button' at the other. Part of the chain is likely actually missing, as it is barely 5" long overall as it is. There are no marks on it to shed further light on its material or maker, or what it was intended to hold from what kind of garment.

      The pretty decorative part would have gone thru a buttonhole of a vest then the chain would have draped over to the watch pocket of the vest where the watch was kept handy. Very pretty, even with links missing.
