Oddly enough, it isn't uncommon at all for me to find errant (cheap) earrings, often 'hoop type', laying in the parking lot of a local c-store along with lots of dropped coins and such. I've got a little handful now, in fact. ;-) What *is* unusual is to find both of a pair together -- I'm not sure that has ever happened before until recently, when I found this pair laying there on the concrete. The first time I found them, that is...

Because, being the c-store parking lot, I simply dropped 'em into the handhold on the inside of my truck's door when climbing back in and pulling away, not thinking about them again until later in the same day when I remembered and wondered where I'd put 'em. Not in my pocket, not with the truck keys, and in fact *not* in the truck door (or any of my other common 'drop spots' in there) or on its floor, when I went outside with a flashlight to check. Even looking again the next day in daylight didn't find 'em anywhere -- the d*mn things just "went away" again. Oh well, no big deal, they probably weren't anything real, they sell pairs just like 'em at the same store for $3 even though these weren't on a card, but who cares. Easy come, easy go, and I've already got plenty enough junk-jewelry earrings I'll never wear. <lol>

FFWD to earlier this evening, when Oreo took me for her walk actually before the sun went down for once. Probably a month and a half ago from the day when the earrings were found then disappeared again. As we were walking along our semi-normal route, pausing for a random moment to allow a passing car to go by, I glanced down at the ground by the curb. And THERE THE D*MNED THINGS WERE. Just laying there waiting for me, just like I'd hooked 'em together after I found 'em the first time. WOW.

    My only guess towards how they got there is . . . well . . . I don't really *have* one . . . but I guess I've got the pair of earrings again . . . ???

The same thing happened to me with a ring that I lost . Years later, I was walking in the woods, looked down and there was the ring!

      Very weird occurrences indeed!
I had a similar experience many years ago with a lost bracelet. A search was even done with a metal detector, but, no luck. Then several months later, as I was getting out of my car, something caught my eye in the gravel of the parking area….it was the bracelet. It had lots of scratches but a jeweler buffed it and it looked like new.
