Thought it was a door knob as it was in a box with old door knobs until I took a second look. Its a perfume decantor.

An old perfume decantor purchaced at a sale for about 50cents. Can't find any marks. Its has a glass overlay with some kind of gold crackling underneath. Can anyone tell me something about it.

really hard to tell from the images; but could it be a mercury glass knob?

Your middle photograph looks as though it might pump up and down, if so it is probably an atomisier and it might be worth taking it to an antique shop for their advice.
