I'm assuming this is really old enough to be "antique", if not it should be close or at least it *looks* like it's close...?? Frankly I just took pity on the poor abused thing, probably saving it from ultimate demise in a dumpster. <nono>

It is around 2' long, oval shape made of four main pieces of wood, with applied wood and plaster (?) embellishments and fancywork all the way around, wearing a goldtone paint (?) color. There are probably better names for its style and/or the way it is made, I just don't know what they are...? <groan>

It has obviously led a somewhat rough life, however long that is. A large chunk(s) of its bottom medallion is broken and gone (leaving two nails behind) along with other not as severe wounds. Once more I haven't the slightest idea how one would 'fix' it, so if I'm ever gonna actually *do* anything with it, it'll probably remain mostly as it is seen right here...?

I love it! So glad u rescued it even if u don’t plan to restore it.
There’s a way to make a mold of the remaining undamaged design, then make a plaster replacement piece in that mold. You can probably find step by step instructions online should you ever get around to restoring it…but with all those puppies and Oreo to care for…when?? ;^)
