I have a fully functional quadruple lever Minerva casket needlecase embossed with Copestake Moore & Crampton complete with a little leather pouch. The pouch looks original to the item but it may be a marriage. I believe the item dates to around late 1860s. Can anyone tell me if the needlecase was originally supplied in the leather pouch or have the needlecase and pouch come together at a later date? Is it rare? It is just made of base metal. Is it valuable? Can you tell me when the needlecase was marketed or was it a "freebie" given away at the time by the firm whose name is embossed upon it? Any information that one of you expert collectors can give me about this item gratefully received. This item is NOT for sale.

Hello, it is an Avery etui .
It is a not too seldom needle case, but valuable for collector .
The manufacture was in England ,they make fantastic etuis in fantaisie shapes.
This one is more classic,in shape of use .
the etui is probably original( if it fits well ,it is a sing )
