What's your opinion on this brooch/stones

Good Morning y'all! Today I am posting this brooch that I saw another owner of exact brooch called hers a Scottish Brooch. I dont know i agree on that...but then again I am clueless. This is an unusual one in my jewelry collection. Although I own a great amount of crystals, I'm not certain what this one is called. Seeking input on all parts of this brooch! Also once again I am seeking information on which novice yet accurate test kits I could buy in regards to metal testing and gem testing...key word being novice, oh and AFFORDABLE!! If you could include a link, name or photo of your kits I would greatly APPRECIATE it! I've been asking for years to no avail and there's way too many on the market to choose from. Thanks in advance!
