    My latest find at the antique store. Carved out of Ivory or Bone and wood. Wondering if anyone knows anything about the origin or the style of these pieces.

      altough i am a chess player and an chess set collector , this is far to difficult for me, actually i am already in trouble to define the material, i can,t substantiate but it looks in the best scenario a sort of bovine (or maybe worse in stead of ivory
      i ran some stauntons and regency and Jacques of londons , because it is an hybrid ( wood and ( bovine) and the most hybrids are english, i don,t think it,s real like as in early 19 century pieces

      i probably talk complete bs here, this is a complete guess of mine , i am sorry i tried
