I posted one of these a ways back but this one is in much better condition. The other one's Indian Village was badly damaged. The plastic they are made from get a bit brittle after a few years.
This case is the same size as Matchbox City which Ideal made for Lesney. Ideal was the only company that had the equipment to make the case and the vacuform pieces that the Indian Village is made from. Ideal also made some vinyl cases for use with GI Joe. It's nice that the toy companies got along so well back then.
The set is similar to Marx's Fort Apache Carry-All set. There are pluses and minuses to both. The figures are not quite up to Marx's quality. The cavalry figures here are gray and appear to be Confederates from a D=Civil War set and the blue infantry appear to be Union soldiers. Still a fun set plus I can always toss in a few bags of Marx figures to add to the fun.

That's good info you provided. I remember that vinyl plastic that would crack. It was disappointing. Your set is in great condition!

Great action in pic #3! Looks like they’re holding down the fort….. for now anyway.

Wow thats great. Looks like lots of fun. My dad made me something similar to the india village part out of paper maché, for my cowboys and indians. One of the many things I wish I had photos of along with the train set he made.

Thank you very much Alfie. It has some cracks but still displays well.

Thank you very much Cisum. I think they show it on MeTV here.

Thank you very much Watchsearcher. They never give you enough Indians to attack the fort.

Thank you very much again Alfie.

Thank you very much elanski. There are a lot of things I wish I had pictures of.

And thank you very much vintagelamp.
