I especially admire how that dark colour enhances the pig look, making it more lifelike although when you look again, the light pig can turn the switch on completely beautiful !~
These are so cute- but at a glance I thought they were bears! :P
I love the poses, definitely makes me think their snuffling and rooting in their troughs, or out in the wild because they remind me of wild boars too? I think it's the deep brown colour of one?! :)
So nice to have a pair in different colours.
I love pigs, they are a very smart and characterful animal, and these two show lots of personality.
I can't pick which colour looks best!
Really cute!
Many thanks everyone for the kind love

Thank you Phil for your wonderful comment & admiring my glass pigs, I agree the darker pig looks more realistic & the light one gives it balance, the glassmaker sculpted the bodies and faces pretty well I thought
Lauren you are so perceptive, in some of the pix (esp the thumbnail) I can see bears too! But then you see the faces & ears, that snout is very porcine lol. The downward facing heads do look like they are rooting through their troughs or in pens doing their piggy business :) Thank you for your always great & insightful comment
Karen that is so true about the pair, I had the brown pig first but thought it needed another colorful friend, so the yellow is a really good contrast - and as in life, there really are dark & light (well maybe not yellow!) pigs so they're a good blend. Agreed about the pig personality, some people keep them as pets esp the babies - if you remember, Arnold from Green Acres was a sweet lil guy. Thanks for your awesome comment
vintagelamp I'm so happy you found these pigs cute, it is a testament to Boyd Glass that most of their animals have a kind of friendly look to them & I'm glad you enjoyed them. Thank you for your super comment
this makes me dream of smoked bacon and smoked ham... are these from the same litter..? enjoy the day '-))
Thanks NaVi & jojo for the loves for these glass pigs, so pleased that you liked them and appreciate the thoughtful consideration
Lol jojo, thank you for your really fun 'ham & bacon' comment :) Yep, these two are from the same Boyd Glass mold, just different colors for contrast, didn't want these fellas to get lonely
Thanks Bruce & Vynil for the love for this pair of Boyd Glass pigs, it is most kind of you & these boys are snorting their approval :)
Thanks very much vcal for the love of this pair of Boyd glass pigs & my other posts, so glad you enjoyed them & always warmly appreciate your kind consideration
very cool...
Thank you Amare for your great comment & the love, very glad you found these vintage pigs cool, they are a pretty good match I thought. The Boyd glass animals are often small but very well formed
