Of course it was Ken who introduced me to Trifari and Crown Trifari, and I see why it is so collectible..
Just great design.
(is Ken OK do we know?)
The glorious power of gold accents the mysterious green stones, after using some real pronged stones he mainly used these fake prongs to accent his work.
Thanks to all for the thoughtful love

Karen thank you for your wonderful comment, I too think this is a great design - it also came in all clear rhinestones but to me there is nothing like color to enhance a piece. Yes our Ken was the Trifari master and is always thought of fondly, he did close his original account which was very sad but I guess he had his reasons - another friend comes back to visit at the holidays and told me he just got tired of it. I do think we get to see Ken every so often anonymously, and I feel his presence and hope he approves of some of our postings, we learned so much from him
Thank you Phil for your super comment and I see where you are going about the 'fake' prongs, those little triangular golden caps on each end of the green stones were primarily accents, and they did highlight the design. In any case, it made for a very pretty brooch right
Searching thank you so much for the specific info about Mr Philippe, the patent & date of this piece - my only reference for Trifari are the illustrated partial patent lists by Julia Carroll in her books which don't show every piece, and I know that not every pat pend design was Philippe, so I had to approximate using the seller's info. I have updated the facts accordingly, and I am so grateful for your fabulous comment and lovely praise
Thank you Lauren for the love for this Trifari brooch, very glad that you liked it and always grateful for the kind support
