Here is a 3 1-2"H green eyed British Shorthair kitten in Sherlock Holmes attire, holding a magnifying glass & mystery book. By artist Priscilla Hillman for the Calico Kittens series from Enesco, a 1994 design titled "It's No Mystery We're Friends."

Our cat, since she was a kitty, is investigative also! She has to investigate what we're eating at meal time, especially dinner. We call her "The Food Inspector".

I'm really delighted you loved this little Sherlock kitten vintagelamp, I wanted so much to find a nice Sherlock-clothed animal in your honor, unfortunately not "the Hound" lol :) I am loving all the Jeremy Brett Sherlock shows, I was curious about The Speckled Band so watched it on ytube & it blew me away, fantastic story! Thomas & Alfie, first of all I am rather envious you are fortunate cat owners, as I have been only a cat caretaker for friends or neighbors - your inquisitive pets sound adorable! The cat is known for its curiosity and "getting into everything", they are always checking things out which makes them the perfect animal to play a detective! I have to say that dvd of Sherlock Holmes looks really interesting actually, :P I don’t think I’ve ever seen it before, but the kitten is really sweet, she’s moulded so well I genuinely thought she was a soft toy!!! I think she maybe Sherlock’s new companion and ‘helper’ or maybe she solves cases in the pet world?! XD

Thank you clockerman for your super praise for this lil kitten, it's so nice of you and I agree the Calico Kittens line is really cute - I even have a large thimble they made with a similar looking kitty (not Sherlock) sitting on a pincushion that is adorable
Lauren this does look toy-like & actually it would appeal to a child if it were softer (I think it might be resin). Wouldn't it be great to see her solving mystery cases in the animal world, I do seem to remember a cartoon hound dog in a detective outfit that was really cute. If you like mysteries you would love the Sherlock series with Jeremy Brett, I started with Return of SH as pictured & I'm waiting to get the Adventures of SH which were his first shows. Some can be seen on ytube, where I highly recommend "The Speckled Band," what an exciting fabulous show you'd love it. Thank you for your fab comment as ever
