I am hoping to find a subject matter expert on Goodyear in Akron Ohio where this plaque apparently originated.

It came from a retired foreman there, along with a couple of other very neat GoodYear items.

My question is who made this and where was it displayed? What is the significance of the bulb horn?
My best guess is that the division that recreated the truck that made the famous run had this made up, and perhaps the bulb horn
was part of the original vehicle. If so, that would be really special and a cool piece of history.

There is some great info on this historical project at the Goodyear website:
    https://corporate.goodyear.com/us/en/about/history/wingfoot-express.html

I am hoping to find some current or former Goodyear folks that might confirm the origin of this and where it has been.

COOL ITEM -- I hope you (and the rest of us!) learn something more about it!!

Now *this* might not be helpful, but it looks to me like the truck in the picture has a brass *Klaxon* horn on it...mebbe it had a bulb horn too?? (sorry...?) :-) :-) :-)

AnythingObscure - Yes, I think you are probably on the right track. I am working on connecting with Akron University, which is apparently holder of a lot of the local Goodyear archives and knowledge base. I believe this item was made in-house by one of the groups involved in the project, so I think the horn has significance with maybe the first old vehicle.
