These hand vases all fall in to what I think of as the medium sized range of around 22 cm - 25 cm tall.
Photo 1 - An unusual clear deep blue/green colour with a double crimped top rim, & a light blue of the same shape.
Photo 2 - These two are around the same height, but the turquoise one is made from unusually thick glass, making it very heavy for its size. Compare the thickness of the glass at the top rim with its relatively lightweight counterpart on the right in an intense cobalt blue.
Photo 3 - This caramel colour is quite rare, & I was lucky to find two examples separately to make up this nice pair. Pretty sure that these are by Portieux/Vallerysthal.
Photo 4 - Same shape as the caramel pair, this is also a fairly uncommon colour, a light Jadeite green.
I'm so happy to see more pictures of your hand vases! At some point, we really do need to connect to share pictures and stories of our collections!
Glad you're enjoying my posts, aftica1...for me it's been a distraction from lockdown, going through my collection & reconnecting with the hand vases, especially since some of them had been packed away for three years.
Once again, beautiful! This is a great collection!!!!
Thanks so much vintagelamp!
It's my distraction from lockdown as well! Collecting glass is my way of dealing with stress. I can't wait to unpack and reorganize and take pictures by size and colour and set up my displays again!
