Here is a lovely demi-parure in shades of Fuchsia, Pink & Purple {{Violet, Magenta & Mauve}} by SHERMAN. The underside appears to be Japanned - as the brooch clearly shows, however, the absence of most of the black (japanned) coloring on the necklace might indicate frequent wear by the previous owner. The necklace is a popular design "rarely parted with" "hard to find" {{Reference to the necklace design found on page 105 of the book "All That Glitters" by Valerie J. Hammond}} that might explain the worn color.
Regardless it is still a lovely set by the Canadian Jeweler, SHERMAN. {{Edit description}}
Stunning and beautiful colors !
Manikin, thank you for your thoughts and comment.
He could find something for what seemed a locked purse, and still make the client feel dressed to the nines, with sixes and sevens all around. The brooch itself was one of the most elegant of pieces with those slim navettes, the black japanning was part of his killer formula !~
Quite lovely!
Phil thank you for your thoughts and comment on this set. I was torn as to what the colors were - he did make Fushia and Plum. I maybe wrong here about the name of the colors. Either way they do make this set!
Mrstyndall- thank you for comment. Lori
I definitely see fuschia and pink which he used a lot in combination with purple as he has here. Sometimes you really have to see the piece in person as some of the stones in this lighting look pink and some red. I really value some of my pieces in these colours, simply gorgeous !~
Thank you Phil for your knowledge and input, I have changed the title of this post to reflect the color correctly. Lori :}
Eileen, you have been away - its good to see you are back. Thank you for your comment, and kind words Yes, I am always thrift shopping somewhere, retirement gives one more time to collect. Lori
