OK, well, so I 'modified' it just a little bit, to better suit my personality...?? ;-) ;-)

It is otherwise an absolutely authentic 12" (lens size) traffic signal section, in its earlier life it was no doubt fastened to a couple other (smaller, I believe) signal sections and hanging hardware of some kind (some of which came with it) where indeed it would have helped keep traffic flowing smoothly someplace or other. (I have no idea where, but probably somewhere in the US Northeast) It was made by the MARBELITE Company of New York (makers of a wide range of traffic control products for many decades) probably in the 1960's-70's, though such lights are difficult to date exactly due to being produced essentially unchanged for most of those decades.

And YES, I added the **NO** to the face of its (polycarbonate) lens, using the largest size of stick-on vinyl lettering I could find at the office store. For the last couple years or so, it has sat on a high shelf over my workbench at the shop (to entertain both myself and visitors, etc) with a flasher-button in its light bulb socket...I brought it home today because it doesn't really serve any purpose there anymore . . . . .
