This one's another from a house in my neighborhood, but I got all of it from the remodeling debris pile. :-) Ca. 1954, it is labeled by "SQUARE D COMPANY of DETROIT, MICH." It holds six fuses, the ones in it came with it and are rated at 30A, probably at least 10A higher than the panel/house would have been equipped with at first, because that's what people that don't know better will do to 'keep all those pesky old fuses from blowing all the time'... <groan>
My house was built in 1919 and it's fuse boxes look like this. We have the old knob and tube wiring. Some outlets work. Some don't. I bought my house with cash from an estate 8 years ago so it wasn't necessary for it to be up to code, which I really regret now, but at least it's paid for. Someday I'll be able to fix the old girl up.
