    These ‘keys’ are a mystery to me? I got them from an old railway worker some time ago and he wasn’t sure either. A friend suggested it may have been something to do with ticketing?

      Interesting....I wonder if when you opened a lock it somehow left a record of the key number which was matched to a particular employee?
