Found this in my Dad’s garage when he passed. I just saw a refurbished one on this site and was wondering how this clamp is used. I read some where it is used to wood glue stuff. Any info would be appreciated.
The part with the crank handle screws onto the end of a pipe threaded on the end and cut the pipe to the length needed for clamping. The other piece slips on the other end of the pipe and locks at the width needed. Galvanized pipe will let the sliding part slip, so best to use "black iron pipe".

It is a pipe clamp or cabinet makers clamp. I have them up to six foot long. You can buy them at any hardware store for few bucks if you need more.
