This 11" round piece of stained glass used to be a part of a church window, featuring a depiction of the bible on a red background. It is an interesting bit of glass because all its coloration is actually on its frontside surface in some sort of mostly translucent dyed coating with likely hand painted details -- the glass itself is actually clear. Note the small chip on its front at its top edge in pic 3 which also shows the hand painted texture to the decoration, also pic 4 which is is backside. I do not know exactly how old it is, what the rest of the window it came from looked like, or what church it could have come from -- I am however pretty confident that it should easily be a genuine "antique".

All the pics here were taken in ugly fluorescent/LED lighting in a hotel room, I'll try to update this showing with some better ones in the near future.

My goal for it is to find or make a suitable frame, then find it a sunny window to live in. :-) :-) :-) :-)

    -----------------EDIT----------------

New #1 pic this afternoon -- a little sunshine is *SO* much better than an ugly bathroom light fixture?!! Note the sorta 'wash' surrounding the bible in the red background, it was near impossible to see in the previous pics! :-) :-) :-)

Thanks SO SO MUCH to Alfie21 and Vynil33rpm for your comments -- also to *everybody else* who's stopped and tapped your <love it> button for my newest old piece of glass!!! I just added a new #1 pic in indirect sunlight, a *much* better view of the artistry that created it than with that ugly bathroom light fixture?!! <lol>
