Safe is opened with an ornate thick heavy key no real history known about it . It has some stamping into the side that I don't know right now the inside is just an open box no shelves or anything the keyhole is not easily visible the key is really unique and a great piece itself although I dont yet have photos of it . My father is Phil Miller he is an artist to say the least having done restoration work for several historical societies around the US and the custom lights for the Freeland Mansion in Fort Wayne and Susan Wunderlich of the museum in Chicago he is in a tiny town called North Liberty in IN he has 2 stories and a basement full of antique brass parts glass books old hard bound catalogs edison displays knives swords a ton of antlers and stained slass things glass beading and lamp shades he has had some medical problems and isnt in the best of health anything I can do to help him start to get rid of his accumulated assets would be a God send literally he aslo has done leather clothing, bikinis and halters in the 60's he is ready to begin parting with his treasures to move to Florida he also has a TON of hinges and door knobs from old homes including the Oliver Mansion and Copshaholm Dads collection is so unique it spans so many genres cultures years tastes and styles it will amaze even the season pickers ...
