Macrame was so popular in the 70s….it seemed like everyone was learning to do it….except me. All those knots looked too complicated!
Your macrame planter looks in great shape for its age and that shade of green on the bowl looks so fresh and lively. :^)

I remember these being a craze of the late 70's and into the early 80's, my local florist store at the time had plenty. I found some nice ones through my rounds and found local people making them also. I remember at the time they also were selling plastic I believe CLEAR floer pots. Dear God, this one of yours have the birds entwined with this menagerie in itself with the minute detail of green and brown stone like paint on the twine. I would have treasured this one. The green pots are worth treasuring. I had some nice ones, and believe me I put them through the rounds as they had to be perfect. I miss those days !!~
