    Just trying to figure out the age on this vtg trunk. Does the serial number tell me a year made. Any help greatly appreciated

      The C.A. Taylor company was established in 1859. C.A Taylor had many trunk patents along the way. They had 2 locations Chicago and New York. Most of the early ones only have the Chicago location stamped on the metal tag. They made Circus trunks , sample trunks and many specialty trunks. This model is a XX professional trunk. They came in many different sizes. This one is a desirable small size. Many of these trunks came with a label or " Certificate of Guarantee" on the inside that contained the month and year that it was made. I have seen those particular certificate labels stamped as early as 1902 and as late as 1914.They did make those models a few years before and after those dates.
