I'm always happy to welcome thorny glass into my collection...just can't get enough of glass with quirky lumps, bumps, & spikes!
This cute little Victorian era rosebowl (or perhaps a tiny vase or even a toothpick holder) is made from two layers of cased glass - an unusual aqua green over an opaque white interior. It measures 7.5 cm tall, 6 cm across the four way crimped top rim, & 3.5 cm across the base, which has a snapped off pontil mark.
The thorns are not randomly placed as on most thorn vases - they are evenly spaced along every second rib. Tidy!
Could be Bohemian or English origin.
This one is super cute.
Many thanks, Wow22!
love the color....
seems so wet, like my garden in the early morning
Thanks also, Rocky22222!
Perfectly said, kivatinitz! It's definitely like a plant covered in dewdrops!
