      Welcome to CW!
You will find lots of nice people here willing to share their knowledge and opinions so you’ve come to the right place.
I’ll be the bearer of bad news about your dime:
      It’s not rare.
These come up occasionally here and I have several myself. Coins like this have been “spooned” or they have been lost inside the drum of a dryer, getting spun endlessly or until they get recovered- all that spinning distorts the rim.
There are online videos that show how to spoon a coin.

Watchsearcher is right. Not at all rare, back when dimes were all silver ( no copper ) we used to spoon them until you could take the dime out of the widened outer rim. It made a silver pinky ring for your girlfriend or a ring she could wear on a chain around her neck. It was a symbol of her going steady with someone. We did that before we got class rings lone ago.

I have seen this green patina. Its not really good for a real coin but in this case the patina is everything!~
