SIGNED SHERMAN SIAM RED BLACK JAPANNED BACK BROOCH
This Siam Red masterpiece was obtained late 2020 early Jan 2021.
The brooch in # 1 is pictured the way it was intended to be worn as judged by the pin location. This medium size brooch of a shooting star has a wow factor that is undeniable when it reaches your hands. This one packs a thrill with its domed Sherman flower cluster which was one of his signature ways to make a piece stand out, a favoured accent. It looks like a shooting star with dew drops that are interspersed throughout this brooch extraordinaire ! It is a rare design which in Siam Red the perfect ab'ing can give a feeling of swiftness and motion. It is not a "hard" AB'ing as the stones that are ab'd can get from a glare to a nice Siam stone in mili-seconds as the light interacts. The geometric swirl of the star or feather design is present in a lot of Sherman, this one letting the imagination soar ! The beautiful navettes get smaller as the swirl progresses. That wonderful cap of stones amazes as for something so small (about 1/4 inch) it contains the standard 19 chaton stones just for that roundel. These tiny chatons are interspersed around the perimeter also and appear as dewdrops giving that fresh look to this marvel !~ ..........H
Brilliant siam red stones, I love the shooting star design. Bravo Sherman, bravo Phil!
The color is dramatic, stunning. it looks like the star has tails with the dew drop at the end of the navette. This has to be a show stopper where ever it is seen, love it.
Gorgeous colors, brooch and photos!
Master Phil!
Thank you Searching1 for the spectacular comment !~
Wonderful Sherman Siam brooch. Your description is perfect and the shooting star reference is spot on. It really is a piece of art and the delicate tiny stones would not be easy to work with. One of the special ones.
Phil - how would one contract you - there is a piece online I think you would like, and I would tip you to my vendor ..... Lori
I meant Contact you, not contract...
Thank you Jenni and love to you !~
So dynamic, full of energy, and the japanning makes that intense Siam red pop like mad! And those slender navettes... it feels like it could have been designed by magicians. Wonderful piece.
Thanks rhine, I appreciate your very kind words, you are the gem here !~
