"The R-15 never saw regular production. The samples 58652-53 in 1934 were the only two made, and the model never showed up in a catalog." This is the first of the two. I found it in a Trading Post awhile ago. All original except one T-bar fret and the shaded finish referred to in Martin Guitars: A Technical Reference. It has a very unique and old sound.

Hi Robert, I don't see a response page with your email. Is the model you have the R-15? What is the production number of yours? Dollar value? Someone once told me that it is "whatever the last person paid for it". I've been offered twice what I paid for mine, the offer was a pretty fair amount. But, I was not looking to sell. So, I was asked what I would be willing to take for it? Again, I reminded them that I was not looking to sell. My answer to your question is, it depends on time and place. In my opinion, I wouldn't try to put a dollar value on something as rare, it will only take away from what it truely is. I hope this has been helpful? The one question you may want to ask is, how much is it worth to you? Within the question maybe your answer.
Do you have any picture's to share of your Grandfather's guitar? Thank's, Dan
