Pre-Columbian Post Pounder? Northwest Coast?

One of my employees found this at a stoneyard we utilize the other day. They were unable to determine where it came from, but let my employee have it. I posted it on a FB artifact site where i was told that it looked like a pounder for posts in a river - northwest. I was shown a similar one. Lots of mystery around these! Any info appreciated, of course!
