I am mystified as to long term use of this burner. The wick raiser works but only goes so far - there is a toothed bar and gear mechanism and when the bar reaches the top the wick cannot be further advanced. What do I do when the exposed wick is all burnt up? I can't advance more wick up to the flame spreader.

Ahhh...... fake post ...lol
This was not a fake post; I have searched for an answer but no one talks about it. The only thing I can do is take the burner apart and manually wrangle the wick up over several prongs in the wick tube. Seems like a stupid design to me...
