Graham Greene books

Here are four hardcover titles from my collection of Graham Greene books. The first, "The Spy's Bedside Book," is an anthology of spy stories edited by Greene and his brother, Hugh. It's a second impression published by Rupert Hart-Davis in 1957.

"The Little Horse Bus" is one of Greene's children's books, not something for which he was particularly well known. The book was originally published in 1954, but this might be a later edition, as it seems to have been acquired by a library in Rhode Island in 1965.

The Shipwrecked is a 1953 Viking Press edition of a 1935 novel that was originally titled "England Made Me."

Finally, "The Lost Childhood" is an Eyre & Spottiwoode 1954 third printing of a collection of essays published in 1951.

I used to be a big fan of Greene, and I had a lot of fun collecting various editions of his books. Most of the time they were pretty inexpensive, and he was so prolific that it seemed like I found something in just about every used bookstore I wandered into.

I have read a lot of his novels, but I have to admit that I haven't read word-one of the above titles. Though I suppose I could knock out "The Little Horse Bus" in a sitting or two.
