From the EAPGS website I've identified this as probably being by George Duncan and Sons, the design dating from 1886. It is in perfect condition but with only a little bit of age wear on the heel and sole which makes me wonder about it's age and if it may be a reproduction. The size fits at 4 1/8" from toe to back of heel, the pattern is "daisy and hobnail" and the colour is "canary". Any thoughts would be welcome.
wouldn't be concerned about the 'wear' as novelty items like this were often set aside as decorative items. does appear to match originals in color and design for the #2 hobnail slipper; tho' I'm not a slipper/shoe expert, and there are many reproductions of the various EAPG slipper designs.
Thanks TallCakes, I think it probably is an early one but, if not, it's a nice piece anyway.
