I just picked up a trunk that looks very similiar to this one. Some of the hardware is the same, different latches though. I too would like to find out some more info about this trunk. Does yours have anything on the interior?
sherrybeal: In the 1900 Sears catalog there are several pages devoted to trunks and cases-giving illustrations-descriptions and prices-The original catalog is hard to find but some good reproductions available that are worth while.Thanks for sharing your item with us.
