My deceased farther has several of these and I believe he brought them back after the Korean war, he was in Japan for a bit so not sure where they came from. Looking for some background,

Need larger photo and you can add up to 4 pictures .The girl is a Gofun
Geisha doll and these were often sent home during WWII to wives and Mothers as gifts , they were tourist dolls. The men also tourist figures but because I can't tell what they are made of your photo is to small . A larger close up of face would help . I was considering they were Mud men but not sure sp more photo's needed . How wonderful you have all these dolls from your Dad !
