    2 recess slots top U-7 41 bottom slot G(or 6)small oval mf inside B C (or G) F other side has a square with 2 angle marks in side. weigh is about 8.9OZs. different metal on end with a flat not sharp edge.

      Lathe cutting tool. It fits into a tool holder on the bed of a metal turning lathe.

      It it is for a lathe where is the set screw that holds the carbide cutter??

      The tool holder has the holding capability using various kinds of screws and clamping configurations depending on what type of tool holder it is. There are many examples available if you search lathe tool holders. My lathe uses a clamp style so I can use various sizes of tools.
