Vintage Black Baby Pottery/Plaster Painted Figurine

Had this little black painted figurine for ages. It is vintage, not of composite/resin construction but made more of a solid ceramic/moulded pottery. Very 'Kewpie' in appearance, only 5" high, but I think a far more quality made/produced item. Nothing to indicate where from or maker. To me looks quite Art-Deco in presentation. Have searched for same but nothing to date.
