Thats Cased Glass and is sometimes Called MOP, or Diamond Quilt, Allot of Companies Produced this Pattern and it can be very valuable! it looks like yours has a polished pontil so thats Good, Very Lovely Piece!

Thanks! Is there any way to know which company? We live in Ohio, and I am wondering if it came from around here?
So is this a "I need extra insurance on it" kind of very valuable?
      I will look up pontil.....;-)

No Problem if you want to start researching you can Search MOP or Diamond Quilt in the Section of Ebay, and Ebay UK since some European Companies produced it as well I think.

Looks like a Vase made by the Fenton Glass Company out of Williamstown, West Virginia. They had a lot of Diamond Optic Swirl pattern glass. Handblown (indicated by the marking on the bottom) and probably made prior to 1970's without the logo stamp or sticker labels. Look up Fenton Glass Company online. Their artists were amazing! I have alot of Fenton Glass and know a man who worked with the original owners, Bill and Frank Fenton.
