I found these watches in my mother's antique jewelry box. I've tried to find information online about Waltham watches but have not been able to find these particular watches with the emblems embedded on the watch face. Can anybody direct me? Thank you.

On further examination of the first watch it appears to have the letters AVC intertwined on the face of the watch with a red star on top of the A. There is an inscription on the back 12-25-28 with initials R.W. Maybe this was a birthday gift made special for someone? I haven't been able to find another watch like it out there. Both of the watches still run.

The first watch is a masonic watch probally given as a Christmas (12-25-28) gift. The initials on the front might be the lodge that the individual belong to. The initials on the back could refer to a position that was given to the individual, which would be Right Worshipful. You might get more information by contacting a local lodge. Good Luck

It's a shame that you know so little about your family history, evidence says that someone was (is) a Mason or your mother just found the watch somewhere. I also note that juststuff scrambled the two watches together to come up with logic....whatever.....
The Masonic symbols and date are on one watch while the Initials R.W. are on another watch.
The pictures are just to fuzzy to get much out of...

Pop: thank you for your response. It is a shame I don't have access to more information about my family history. But I have nobody alive left to ask about it and I know that my father was not a Mason and was not even born when the watch was made. My father did own a gas station at one time and it could be possible that someone paid him with it. I will try and take better pictures. It would be great to get some history on them.

Jusstuff: Thanks for the information. I'm still looking to confirm that symbol on the watch. I have found something close but not exact when searching masonic pocket watches.

You have a very nice Masonic vintage watch; Maybe something that was passed down in the family.
