    Here is a tool used by gardeners to plunge a hole in the soil to plant their seeds, plants, or flowers.
    This dibble is made entirely of metal. It is made with a cast iron handle with a steel hole piercer. Some dibbles that I have seen are made of a metal handle with a wooden pointer attached.

      That's a nice one!!! We were never fortunate enough to have cast iron dibbles on our farm. Ours were all made of wood. We'd walk behind the tobacco setter and set the tobacco plants that the tobacco setter missed.
