This is an old Dr Pepper sidewalk sign that I picked up at a flea mkt. It's double sided and reads "Ice Cold" Dr. Pepper Good For Life "Curb Service" The sign has always been in TX and served as a tire service sign in later life. They painted it black and wrote "Tires - Repair - Flats" in silver paint. I've had the sign for about ten years, it took me about 6 months to get most of the Tire Service paint off. I've seen a handful of the "Sold Here" signs but only one of the "Curb Service" signs. Here's the perts' April 12, 1938 Robertson Dualife from Springfield Ohio. Lithograph Sunburst Bottle Embossed. New the sign part (2ea) cost $.26 each. The sign is 32 inches tall by 20 inches wide. There's a couple of links below for the sold here signs.

1938 Tin Dr Pepper Ice Cold Sold Here Sign
to bad the sign is gone- nice frame though
The signs (2) will clean up a lot more. It's also a great candidate for restoration because it's embossed.
good deal
I would love to see it restored! Certainly rare.
Me too, but I'll leave that for the new owner.
