Don't have much information on this clock, it's been in my family forever. My grandfather was first owner in my family--maybe first owner, ever. He immigrated from Denmark in 1926 came through Ellis Island and ended up (somehow) in Duluth, Minnesota. Hans Mogensen (or Mogenson).

It's an "Erie" eight day time and strike pendulum movement from circa 1886. I don't know how long Ansonia made this model but the Company completely sold out to Soviet Russia's Amtorg Trading Corporation in July of 1926. The case is made of black walnut. In mint condition they were valued at somewhere around $300 in 2004. These clocks had elaborately stenciled glass panels. You can usually find something at one of the clock supply houses (http://www.timesavers.com or http://www.merritts.com that will look nice and be relatively inexpensive. It is usually difficult and expensive to find something that matches the original pattern. Enjoy your heirloom!
