This portrait was painted by my Grandma,Wilma Norton,in the early 50's.It was painted for the sole purpose of hanging above the baptismal tank at the church I grew up in.It measures 6,1/2 ft. wide by 4,1/2 ft. high. long after she had passed, the church built a new building and moved on. While attending a funeral a few years ago,at the new church,I was told, that the portrait had been kept, and was waiting in the basement for someone in the family to pick it up. That was me,cause I was the only one with a wall big enough in my house to hang it!I hope it show's up,but if you look closely, just above the large waterfall, there is a "cross" hidden, and above that,in the white of the mountain peak,is Jesus in white with his arms extended.(I like to think Gramma did this on purpose)
