I posted this in a post with some other MPC prehistoric creatures a ways back but now it is getting its own post. This is the rarest of the MPC figures and it is not a reproduction of a Marx figure like most of the other MPC prehistoric creatures. I believe it was only sold on a carded set and wasn't a cereal premium. And I have only seen it in red. Not super valuable, it is worth about $10. Not bad for a 2" long piece of plastic.
The actual Ceratogalus was about a foot long and is noted for its two horns above its nose. Both sexes had them so they were probably for defense. Looks like something out of the Flintstones. It would probably be used as a can opener.
Got a few more MPC mammals that will get their own posts so be sure to check back for them.
Adorable prehistoric gopher, even with horns :)
Hey wait a minute you can’t fool me
they didn’t have any cans to open in prehistoric times
Thank you very much Newfld.
Vynil I think they have cans in the Flintsones. And TVs.
