While cleaning out a family house I found this unopened bottle of green Chartreuse in a cabinet. Judging by the pale gold cap and label- made in Voiron, imported to the US by Schieffelin & Co., “One Pint 7.6 fl. oz.”- indicate that it’s from the 1960s or 1970s. Chartreuse is one of the few liqueurs known to improve with age, like wine, but due to the higher alcohol content it doesn’t need to be cellared or kept at particular temperatures.
