This is my Rembrandt Masterpiece floor lamp.
if anyone has any knowledge about the date I can't seem to figure out exactly when this one was made although I've got an idea of the early 1900s.
When was this made and does it have a model name and number? | ||

Had not heard of this company before, I guess it would be time to check my Sears catalogs as they sold a lot of these type of lamps. Maybe other American mail order stores sold it as well but I don't collect those type of catalogs. I collect the Canadian version of these type of lamps, gorgeous !~
Rembrandt Masterpiece Floor Lamps were a thing...the floral embossed base is something that I have not ran into yet. My search has only been on for a month now so .. we shall see
I would think from what I see this would be around later 40's to the 50's when these were popular. I found the middle bulb is a 100 to 250 size is the normal. The 1oo was great but getting into the the bulb that could go to 300, it was dangerous to operate at full brightness.
well you got a little bit of stuff going for you here but some stuff isn't adding up the stuff is going for you yes they were dangerous to operate however this model has been rewired from its original cloth cord State originally they had a cloth cord and there's cloth cords were super flammable and yeah you couldn't cuz they were putting real electricity through fabric... okay now there is what I have done rubbings of I have tried to match up the Maker's Mark that I found on it that's on the base which is wrought iron and if you take a look at the underbelly's picture of the base you'll notice that there is a little tag and it looks like it says 015 or it might be a symbol 15 I just can't get it to match up with anything there's also these two little marks that look like they were bolt marks but there's no bolt that they're a part of and I've seen similar stuff listed in Maker's Marks of the time like little catalog references but I haven't been able to clearly identify that that is with Rembrandt Masterpiece lamps out of Chicago Illinois but the torchiere part is the main part where the large bulb goes and that is called a mogul now there are examples of these from the 1915 through the 30s in the patina on the brasswood make me feel comfortable saying that it was more from that time I know what 50 is 40s 50s and you know stuff more modern looks like but this is a art nouveau / Victorian style which would lead me to believe turn of the century not in mid-century modern but I'm learning and I am having a great time discussing this with with people so please if you come up with anything else I am more than willing to assess this accordingly because I think it would be fun to have all the homework done on it before I did anything else with it and I think it's rich in history but what do I know I'm learning keep keep them coming if you got any more questions or points of discussion please lets get verbous.
