Here is a 7"W turquoise blue glass candy dish shaped like a dolphin, with a smaller fish finial on the lid. Original design was by the Indiana Tumbler & Glass Co aka Greentown in the early 20th century, Kemple Glass made a repro of this sawtooth edge rim design in the 50s, later acquired by Wheaton Industries & others who made mould modifications

That is a very cool interpretation of a dolphin, he's very ancient and fish like, the sort you see on old fountains etc. The colour is also beautiful, that really nice turquoise shade of swimming pools(or fountains?!) in summer. Twisty tail and scales are also lovely! :)

Thanks so much Scott for your super praise, I'm really glad you found this beautiful - a most unusual fish design with the little fish above the big one, pretty cool right

Lauren I totally agree with you that this sculpted dolphin style is often seen in fountains, usually spouting water from the mouth - saw many of these in Hawaii when we visited, esp on the island of Kauai. It is a very old type design with alot of detail, your keen eye is really great & helps me to see the nuances. Love this beautiful "pool" color too - we have been having a run of small sharks biting people at our Long Island beaches this summer, I wonder why more people don't go to the pools for safety it's strange right. Fabulous comment & compliments thank you so much!

Thanks kivatinitz for your wonderful comment and you're right, it is an interesting complex design that I think was created @ 1910 (this is a later reissue), so there are always deco touches to the lovely pieces from back then

How about this awesome blue Phil, it is most heavenly - whether found in aqua blue skies or the turquoise waters of the Caribbean it's a very soothing shade, and quite perfect for this dolphin & his little buddy on top. Thank you for your marvelous praise
