Found this item at a thrift store and it looked VERY old to all of us! We would love to find out more information about the chair. I have been doing google searches for the past few days and have come up short!
I believe you have found a Bentwood rocking chair. Not sure what year.
Your chair looks to be of oak and from about 1890- 1920.
I wouldn't call this particular rocker "bentwood"-- usually that is used to describe a chair with long dowel shaped pieces that are bent to make a back, arms or legs.

Hello. Can you tell me do you still have this chair?. Did the chair have two broken rocker when you bought it? Can you see the screws in the top of the arms where it is attached to the chair. What state did you purchase the chair in.?
