It is a fine looking bear regardless. I can tell it is an old one. Look up "teddy bear identification".

Hi he arrived today, he is much nicer in the flesh, he’s a lovely golden colour.
    4. arctophilegirl, 2 years ago
Definitely very old, with a long snout and shoe-button eyes. A quite respectable. nice-looking old fellow.

      Do u think before 1920
    7. arctophilegirl, 2 years ago
It is possible that he is a few years older. The very first bears looked like that, with a long snout and shoe-button eyes. Then they had glass eyes and later plastic eyes.
Bears are not as old as dolls though. The idea of making teddies first came up in 1902, when Roosevelt refused to shoot a defenceless baby bear during a hunting trip, while dolls have been around for much longer.
I love old teddies and have quite a few myself!

I’ve just been told he’s a pre 1920 American bear

      By an auctioneer expert

Although Daniel Agnew from christies said 1920 German, I been told pre 1920
    15. arctophilegirl, 2 years ago
      The ears look American: https://zandkantiques.com/Early_American_Teddy_Bear_3.html
I think antique German bears also had longer feet, at least Steiff bears.

Have you tried a reverse image search to find similar images of bears? Although unfortunately for bears and dolls it is quite difficult because they are often identified just as that - bears or dolls, and then many images come up that are not really similar, but if you are patient and go through many images, who knows, you might find your bear. Occasionally I have found what I was looking for this way.
