I have this clock and I have not been able to find it anywhere. If anybody knows anything about this clock please let me know I know it came from the Black Hills of Germany in 1957 my father brought it home with him. It is an A. Schneider Sohne. Open the back plate and on the left-hand side a number eight was written.

Assume you meant Black FOREST? Black Hills are SD/ WY.

Does appear to be typical of a German Black Forest cuckoo clock and sounds like a German maker.

These were/ are popular souvenir items from a trip to Germany. Lots of these returned to the US after a military tour in Germany.
