old block and tackle pulleys w/hemp rope

Here's yet one more 'thing' I've now got, but without the slightest recollection whatsoever of where or when I got it. (funny how that happens sometimes, huh??) There are two pulley sheaves, one with a single wheel and one with two, attached to a length of (probably) hemp rope with its ends neatly bound. An 'S' hook on the single one is obviously newer than the rest of any of it, and an extra iron loop has been brazed to the underside of that one, whether or not it was original I also don't know, but it looks old enough to match so has probably been there a long time, whether it was a 'repair' or not.

I DO know I've never tried to use it for anything more than a wall or shelf decoration, it is shown here wrapped up most likely exactly as it was when I got it, wherever that was... ;-) :-)
