I buy a lot of different things from autographs to strange art work.
I bought this set of 25 framed cigarette cards. It's a complete set of Civil War Generals 1890. That's what the little plaque at the bottom says. It's beautifully framed.
On the back it has a label Tobacco Cards: A Brief History. The last paragraph is about modern reproductions. I've seen them for sale on ebay, and on the back of each card is "nostalgia reprint."
There's paper lining the back of the frame. So, I can't see the backs of the cards. Is there a way to tell without my ripping the paper off if these are real or reprints?
I would think since it says Nostalgic Reprint ,,they must be reprints
I wonder if anyone could tell me if there are cigarette card dealers in Canada? I have some 40 complete sets (50 cards per set) by various tobacco companies e.g. Wills, Players & Sons)?
